With so much weight to lose, I have decided to set mini goals on the way to my ultimate goals. My first mini goal is to lose 30 pounds in 10 weeks.My ultimate goal is to lose around 155 pounds.

A little easier week

I found resisting temptation to be a lot easier this week.  I even went and picked up lunch for co-workers and did not get anything for myself.  I was very proud of myself.  I had students bring up birthday treats to me and I left them on my desk and gave them to my daughter at the end of the day.  I have found that I wake up before my alarm goes off in the mornings.  I, also, get fewer headaches.  I have found my new favorite snack.  Light n fit vanilla yogurt with peanuts.  Its just a little sweet with a little salt.

Weigh In (3)

Well we both had a pretty good loss this week.  It was a rough week for me though.  I am an emothional eater and had a really bad day at work and I went to McDonalds.  Embarrassed I  called Lou right away and told him what I did so I wouldn't be tempted to hide it.  There is no excuse for it , I had passed up other temptations at work this week without any problems.  But, I picked myself up and continued on right after that.  My goal for this week is to begin exercising more regularly.  I hope it starts warming up a little so I can go outside.  Lou cheated this week also with a Little Debbies cake at his work.  Although he didn't fess up until today after he weighed in.  My girls have been very supportive of us, but me especially.  I am very proud of them and I want them to be proud of me for actually doing something that they know is so hard for me and picking myself up when I falter.  I have realized that I have become much more emotional than I was before.  I don't have the food to help hold it in anymore.  Its can be a little scary at times.  I found myself looking for hiking trails close to us yesterday to plan to go hiking with the family as soon as it warms up some.         SmileStaying positive, Tami

Weigh In (2)

We had our second weigh in today.  We are both doing well.  We have lost 18.5 pounds so far.  It is very encouraging.  We know we need to add in more exercise but right now wind chills are in the single digits and lower so walking is out.  I (Tami) am more careful about counting points and getting plenty of water every day.  I am excited and it helps that our kids know we are doing this.  I am noticing that it is easier for me to get up in the mornings and I don't seem to drag so much at the end of the day.

Week 2

This week has been a liitle more difficult than last because everyone is back to work.  Working as a secretary leads to all kinds of temptations.  We had cake in the office 2 days this week because of birthdays.  I am happy to say I was able to pass it by both times.  Then there was the candy and chips that were passed around the office and the ice cream the secretary next to me was eating.  Temptations everywhere.  We did have pizza this week but I made sure to count every point and I still ended up with weekly points left over.  I guess we will see how that shows on the scale.  I am still determined to lose this weight.
